What's Fresh NOW?

     BLUEBERRY Field OPENING JUNE 16, 2008 !!!

The BLUEBERRIES took just a little longer to ripen this year than in previous years because of the cooler temperatures, plus there are so many berries on the bushes right now, the ripening process has slowed.

THESE BLUEBERRIES ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I had to sneak a taste today and maybe it's just because we did not have any last year, but I believe they are the best I have ever had! I have had MANY emails from customers "Chompin' at th' Bits" to sink their teeth into these blueberries, so don't be late.........

One more note of importance..... watch out for fire ants, they seem to very plentiful this year.  I baited them earlier in the year, but we still have the problem.  Be especially careful with young children!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of GIN HOUSE BRANCH FARM.  Thank you also for keeping the fields looking nice by not letting garbage get out of hand. As always, we look forward to seeing you out on the farm.

If we are not at the sales building, use our “Honor-Pick” system from dawn to dusk – the instructions will be on the door.  Please park in the parking lot and do not drive in the field.

Have your friends sign up for our email list!!! I promise to only email you with updated information and will NEVER share my list with anyone!

Thanks for your patronage and happy picking!!!

If you are coming to "Pick Your Own", you might want to read What to bring to pick......  Also PLEASE remember that this is a working farm.  There are wonderful fruits & berries, but also everything else that comes with a farm such as: Insects that can sting or bite, Rocks and Ruts that you can trip over, Sunshine to get a good sunburn, the occasional Tractor or Mower passing by, and some slick mud.... as with anywhere, be aware of your surroundings, be careful and have a great time!

Here is what is currently planted on the farm and about when they will be ripe:

Blueberries    -    Mid-to-Late June through July

        Muscadines  - August & September
